About us

Mumspring Foundation USA is a nonprofit using AI and digital tools to close maternal health gaps.

Through our flagship innovation—Agnes, an AI-powered maternal health assistant—we’re helping Medicaid-enrolled and underserved women access timely, culturally relevant, and life-saving support.

Our mission is simple: ensure no mother is left behind because of where she lives, how much she earns, or what language she speaks.

We work at the intersection of:

  • Artificial intelligence and maternal health

  • Community partnerships and public health systems

  • Low-tech digital access (SMS, WhatsApp, voice)

  • Data-driven engagement and equity tracking

Meet Agnes

The World’s First AI Midwife

Agnes is a voice- and text-based AI built to walk with women through pregnancy and postpartum.

She listens. She teaches. She guides. In plain language, multiple languages, and through tools women already use—like WhatsApp or SMS.

In early pilots:

  • 5,000+ women reached

  • 80% increase in antenatal care attendance

  • 70% reported better health knowledge

Now, we’re adapting Agnes for Medicaid-enrolled women in the U.S.—starting with high-disparity states.
